Another Successful Auction with Howkins & Harrison  

Howkins & Harrison enjoyed yet another successful auction with the Kilworth Springs Golf Club packed to the rafters on Tuesday 2nd July for their third collective auction this year.

Auctioneer Jeff Paybody, Partner at Howkins & Harrison auctioned off a variety of interesting lots which included, a pretty timbered cottage located on the Green, Easenhall which was guided at £125,000 - £150,000 and sold for £200,000. A parcel of level pasture land with seven stables in Welton, near Daventry which was guided at £55,000 - £65,000 and sold for £99,000.

The Laurels located in the Northamptonshire village of Stoke Bruerne, a period house in a canal side situ which was guided at £325,000 - £350,000 and sold for £330,000. The final successful lot was a useful parcel of land located in Lilbourne and guided at £10,000 - £15,000 which sold for £17,000.

One successful lot which well exceeded its guide price was Woodby Lodge in Bitteswell. Guided at £325,000 - £350,000, this detached bungalow set within a large garden and with an adjoining paddock totalling 5.81 acres certainly caught the imagination as frenzied bidding ensued, with the hammer finally falling at £552,000.

Two lots did not sell on the night, Burydyke a detached country property with 6.60 acres located off the A45 in Stretton on Dunsmore and a building plot with outline planning permission for the erection of a detached bungalow in Brandon. As these lots have had huge interest Howkins & Harrison are hoping to tie up their sales over the next couple of days.

Their next collective auction is scheduled for September and with some interesting lots already on board this is set to be another successful event.
